I thought about this camera for a even though/watched sample movies on youtube,ultimately broke down and bought this at a “finest” store for with out a card. . . . . . . . . all in underneath one minute. this is a simple video digital camera/ captures video really nicely!little sufficient to put in your pocket/battery still charged following a week of frequent use!Sound quality is very great/however the only “downside” for me is. and of course geocaching. I needed something small and waterproof for kayaking and canoeing. I like it/and now at the time of my review/it is less than what I paid AND you get a micro card included!great deal. small,waterproof,extended battery existence,great quality video,excellent high quality sound, simple and effortless to use. . . . big enough to see what your recording/but small adequate not to use as well considerably energy. snow2112dog. . . . eight” screen. . . . . . This camera is simple to use! turns on very quickley,and starts recording quickley. . . . . . . . . it reveals indoors. I have a kodak zx1, a flip mino, but I needed some thing smaller than these.

Wonderful for kids and grandparents who don’t want to invest in a thing far more high-priced. Smaller and lighter than a Flip. The pros and cons are the identical for the two. As noted in the manual – sound playback on the gadget is poor – because the gadget is waterproof – no excellent speakers outside. When imported to Computer – sound was actually great. Once more, since it is waterproof – there is no place for even a mini tripod. I have two of these – on in this model and a single in the HD model. Still pictures have been grainy – unless I truly concentrated on holding the digital camera steady. But once again – examine the directions (at least once) as most of the complaints I have witnessed about this digital camera are due to folks who just won’t read via the directions. The computer software uploaded to my personal computer just fine. Purchased it at first for a trip to hawaii. Pros Size Easy to use Intuitive Takes great video Waterproof Inexpensive Cons Not excellent for still photographs Not excellent in reduced light The camera works great right out of the box. . Was in a position to read by way of the directions and start recording right away. It could be better though. First of all, when it comes in the mail the screen will have paper on it. The paper is just so that the screen does not get damaged in the packaging, so you can take it off. Anyway, the picture quality is decent. It turns out a little dark though. It says it comes with a LED light for low light situations. It does, but the light is only for pictures, not videos. It does not have much of a zoom. When you do zoom in, the picture gets blurry. The batteries do not last long either. Get Duracel power pix and you should be find. The camera is super small and can be stored in probably any case. It’s made out of plastic. The memory card is separate. Get 8 GB and you will have up to seven and a half hours of low resolution video, and up to two hours of high resolution video. You can also have up to about nine thousand photos. The battery case might seem a little hard to open. But it’s simple. You just have to put your finger nail down under the sacket and slide it out. It will not work if you just try to slide it open. Remember, use your finger nail. This camera is pretty decent. Right now I like it. The controlls are actually one handed and easy to use. This ia a great camcorder for kids who are just learning to take photo and video. It’s pretty nice. It still could be a little better, but it’s still awesome. Well, they don’t tell you everything. The light is only for pictures not videos. When the pictures come out they are terible. Everything is so gray. The sound is poor too. It’s so soft. You also have to buy the memory card seperate. The controlls are easy to use. So it’s a great camcorder for people who do not want it so complicated. The screen is a pretty decent size. Another good thing is that this clear, plastic thing is on the lens and screen for protection. It’s also SUPER small. I guess that could be a good thing or a bad thing. It’s also made out of plastic. This camcorder is ok. It could be a lot better. But for right now, I’m fine with it. Also there’s an on-screen time stamp on the lower-right with date & time that I can not find a menu item via which to remove – so the manual could be better, if there’s a way to remove it at all. There is a lot of blur around the edges, though that is common with wide lenses like this — but on my other HD mini camera (The Contour HD), that blur is significantly less. Oh and on that point – this camera does not do Full HD – meaning it will do 720p, but will not do 1080p. Okay the price of this cam is like half the Contour camera so maybe that’s a selling point, but lacking full HD, no apparent way to remove the on-screen time stamp, I am returning it. Likes: Nice that there’s a built-in HDMI output port, and an AV output mini-jack. The sound-activated record trigger may work for some folks, but I didn’t try it. And of course, nice to have a built-in screen to see menu items / framing info. The video quality is very good and so is the sound, a lot better than I expected from such a tiny unit. It’s about the size of a chapstick tube. I bought this one to use mostly as a security device in hotel rooms, but now that I have it I am thinking of lots more ways to use it. I think it will be really cool to mount on my helmet the next time I go white water rafting. This is so much better than still pictures and you can just mount it and turn it on and forget it. I saw one guy that had one on a radio control airplane. The instructions are brief but complete and easy to understand. Downloading movies is easy and works without any glitches, but on my old laptop it takes a few minutes to download 30 minutes of video.
