Negatives: It can be hard to use the camera outside simply because sunlight tends to make the screen virtually invisible. Positives: The image quality of this camera is extremely great, the two for video and images (with and without the flash). The sound high quality from the constructed in microphone is extremely poor (for me it’s unusable, so I record sound separately when I require it). As this is a waterproof camera the sealing means that you can only run it from battery energy (about one hour), you can’t plug in an external mic, and so forth. I was shocked that pictures from such a cheap camera looked so great. I bought the camera because I needed some underwater footage for an art project, and I’m pleased with the videos I produced in the sea. . Now that the project is completed I will mainly use the camera for pictures at events or on holiday due to the fact it’s extremely transportable and basic to use. Be conscious when using it at the beach, sand gets everywhere including into the battery compartment and even the lens. In my situation the sand came out soon after washing the camera and utilizing a tiny brush when it was dry

response was water damage not covered by warranty. You dont get warranty assistance that way either but hey, you are no worse off. . You cannot send them emails. „ hrs to get them on the mobile phone and then had to ship camera at my cost. Far better nevertheless, buy an additional brand. If it fails you, you are on your own. You can only “post” to their net site (and you are going to be ignored). But the true problem was Sanyo support. So purchase at your personal chance. You’d be better off acquiring 2nd hand on ebay. THIS ON A WATERPROOF CAMERA !!! I wrote snail mail to complain. Water leaked the very first time I employed it, rendering camera dead. No response

Broadcast Quality Video! (Electronics) I have not bought this particular pen from this seller, but I did buy a similarly advertised pen (HD Pen Camcorder, 1280x720p Widescreen Video) last month though Amazon fulfillment. I’ve since returned it and that page has since been removed from Amazon. It was a knock off of the real thing, which I ended up buying for 0 from eyespypro. (Although the one I received from eyespypro is slightly defective with noisy audio. I’m hoping to exchange it under warranty.) But I learned a lot and hope to share that here. Apparently there are variations of this HD Pen Camcorder in the field. The photo of the box in this product page is the right one, so that’s the first thing you want to check if you buy one here. Also, the real pen has the knurled finish, not a smooth one. Next, the real pen I have has only 4GB of fixed internal memory, whereas the knock off I bought previously used an 8GB Micro SD card. In that knock off, any file that was being written to when the battery quit would be corrupted and unreadable. The operating system for these pens vary. The knock off required you unscrew it and slide a micro-switch to power the unit on. Hardly covert. The real pen works as you’d expect – you power the unit on from the top button. There are the numbers “1, 2, 3″ silkscreened on the USB connector on the real thing. It has a three color LED: green, red, blue, whereas the knock off didn’t have green. I wasn’t able to get more than 30 minutes of battery life with the knock off, even after conditioning the battery. The real one goes for an hour. As I said, I have not bought this particular product from this seller so maybe it’s a real thing. I’m not sure how returns work when you buy outside of Amazon fulfillment, but the advantage of buying through Amazon fulfillment is that the return of my knock off pen was painless. You go to the Amazon website, print out a pre-paid mailing label and return the product for free. Let me say in fairness that if this pen is the real deal, the video is fantastic for a small pin hole pen cam.
