It is simple to operate and the guidelines are relatively effortless to understand. It arrived on time, and nicely packaged, so I have no complaints there. Anyway, as a typical light/standard use camcorder, it is truly a quite excellent minor digital camera. I have a Phantom Lites IR Illuminator that I use for other purposes that I brought into the bathroom also, so I can see how significantly far better it would make the viewing distance. . But if you are seeking for an IR digital camera to take with you on a paranormal investigation, don’t bother. I turned it on and then fired up the IR mode and I was ready to see inside of the confines of my bathroom, but not much past that. Total, I believe an . It’ll be worth it. To my consternation, there wasn’t that much of a variation. I charged it up and took it into my bathroom exactly where I could benefit from the complete darkness that my bathroom gives. 00 flip camcorder would be just as efficient as a daytime digital camera, so I would have to advise that you do that route as an alternative if that is what you happen to be seeking to use it for. I thought perhaps I could hook up a UV illuminator to it to see how it functions in that light spectrum, but further experimentation is necessary. I purchased this camera for the evening vision abilities due to the fact I am a paranormal investigator, and we use this kind of devices in our perform. I do not entirely truly feel like I’ve been ripped off lead to it works wonderful when not in IR mode, but I wish the IR limitations were a lot more plainly explained. Conserve your funds and get a high end Sony or something

I saw the Phantom NV and thought it would be a good idea to try a different company to compare quality. WOW this thing is like a NV spotlight compared to the other one! Strange thing is.. it uses less bulbs. It is more conveinent that is takes a 9V battery too. The only down fall is I think they should throw in a mounting bracket for free instead of selling it seperately. If the company is reading this right now, I would strongly suggest creating a light camera/infrared holder/tripod to come with this product.It is only a suggestion though, but it will impress more people.
