Review: This is a potentially large camera, but has a serious bug, it is not import into iMovie. I’ve also read that other video editing software, you abstürzt.Prüfen the forums at Apple, BEFORE you buy this product. Apple has said that if it does not solve the problem no longer continue until the next software Update.Kein point in the review if it does not work in the editing software, why make the effort? Review: Please look at the iMOVE 08 Support Forum. There is a thread on the front page with the title HDC SD9. There is absolutely no person who was able to crash between the camera and iMovie 08 to resolve. Apple is silent. There is hope for a fix soon, because the camera is likely to be popular. It is irresponsible for anyone, any level of cooperation between this camera and iMovie 08 to call. Apple and Panasonic NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER This camera quickly or Crash and Burn. Rating: 1 / 5

Review: The single still image from this camcorder is vague and included too bright grapped compared to video or image from the recording / recorded video is also on the same scene and lighting conditions. It must be the exposure of defects in the product. Also, the HD video has a lower sharpness than Canon or Sony, and is fuzzy on bright spots on high-contrast condition. I think the factory should recall this product. Rating: 1 / 5

Review: bought camcorder a few days. Loved the razor-sharp pictures in bright light. Attempts to load film imovie08 and it immediately caused it to crash. Imovie08 crashes every time. So, if you use a Mac and imove unlucky. Many rumors about Apple fixing problem in the last update of the ilife / imovie but I will not wait. Going to take the 15% minus a processing fee stroke and get something that you can edit myself on my Mac. Check out the Apple discussion forums and see what others say. Rating: 2 / 5

Review: The good: everything about the hardware related. The images of this camera have been included is the exception. It works very well in low light conditions, could I at night with the “Magicpix” function to shoot and excellent images bekommen.Die bad: the software. The camera is grown with two panes: one contains at Panasonic HDWriter and the other is a 15-day trial version of Pinnacle Studio 11 with Plus.Beginnen we HDWRiter: This is typical crippleware. HDWriter scenes, you can transfer between the PC and the media (flash card or DVD) it needs some very basic editing split (/ merge scenes, creating the top menu) and play the videos on the computer only from the flash card or DVD. Strange as it may seem, says the software, it is can not play a clip stored on the hard drive of the PC! In reality, when you open the clip in edit mode (it can be a few minutes for this to happen can take a while) to play, but with reduced resolution. HDWriter also offers the possibility of a clip in MPEG2 format to save. The point is that it always saves the clip in MPEG2 format at a reduced resolution (720×480), with “Maximum Quality” setting. There is no way that AVCHD clip to a 1920×1080 mpeg2 to konvertieren.Pinnacle Studio 11 Plus: This software does not work. It imports AVCHD video from the camera, but the video is distorted when playing, and it makes it to the changes it is too garbled. I have this software on 4 different computers, some very strongly that exceeded the minimum level for quite some margin. The result was the same – this editor can not import, play, and correctly process AVCHD files produced by the HDC-SD9. The video is still distorted. All computers are PCs with Windows XP SP2 or Vista.Pinnacle can import Studio 11 Plus, play and edit the MPEG2 file, which was produced by HDWriter. For this one it worked well. However, this is a file in standard definition (720×480), High-Definition nicht.Pinnacle Systems wants $ 79. 99 from the trial version to upgrade to the full version of Studio 11 Plus. Since the software has proven itself incapable of high-definition images produced by this camera editing, this would be a $ 79 99 games with the opposition Sie.Am end of the day, it is not possible to establish a high-definition footage of the basic split edit / merge operations in HDWriter. You can not send text, music in the background, brightness / contrast or other basic operation one could expect that, with raw material to do. Contained and it is not possible to play high-definition images directly from your computer – you have to burn them to DVD or transfer to a flash Karte.Aufgrund these shortcomings, I am again my HDC-SD9 back to Amazon. I’m really sad because the hardware is top quality when the camera images are nothing less than extraordinary plays. But what is the point if you do not edit in any meaningful way? Rating: 1 / 5
