Most of the time you read some negative feed about products and I believe it usually comes from people who do not know, recalling what they buy, and buy only the product, only to have it. Right now I’m having to wait for a look and approach offers JVC. All the research activities I have done, indicates that the GZ-HD7 can only output the video in MPEG2 mode. This is great if you never Video editing, other than the time gaps can on your Computer.Man must wonder how the video will keep quality up, compared to HDV (1080×1440), once for the processing of video stream is decompressed then recompressed to MPEG-2. The biggest problem I have with these articles, book reviews and the manual is that a lack of important things. If the MIC IN jack mono or stereo? What is low light capability? What video editing applications, it is compatible? What kind of image stabilization is used? Tops prisms or the cheap method in most consumer camcorders use? Battery life? it takes the full 5 hours that you can get in? Resolution of the viewfinder and flip-out monitor, you can see clearly enough to focus on? it will take an external monitor while recording? it is the video stream from the FireWire port, so that I can use some Pro laptop utilities to a larger monitor, as well as frames and other items, refer to the record? Much information is missing for a camera, trying to as a higher-end will be sold pro-sumer level camera. Rating: 3 / 5

I have a 4-star rating, because that is the average rating for this product at this time I looked at .———————— This camcorder to a local store yesterday. I could not figure out how I can take a picture while shooting a video (simultaneously) with this device. Most high-end cameras and camcorders have functions that, in these days and I use it a lot with my camera.
