How come in the new Halloween II movie, Micheal Myers mask is different from the older movies?

in the older movies he had a white,clean mask with no scratches or anything. in the new 2009 Halloween II movie, its dirty,old, and has sctraches in it. how come?

Did you watch Rob Zombie’s FIRST Halloween? The mask looks the same as in that one probably(haven’t watched the second yet to be sure) and he pretty much explains why it looks that way in the first movie. Just watch the first movie and you see how it gets that look.
