I named client service back and had to listen to the idiot on the other end of the line invest an hour telling me how a lid switch worked. Turns out that with the skin on, the phone show was not turning off. I suspect the lid pin wore down a bit and is not pushing the lid switch in far sufficient. A rubber band will perform for now. I purchased this phone for my mom. I’ll replace it with a more reputable merchandise from a various firm in ten months when I update my contract. At least I now have the understanding to know Sanyo/Kyocera can make junk. I sent it back for repair. They did a page complete of diagnostics, updated the software package, and sent it back. Given that I currently invested sending the phone in the very first time, I told her I was not going to take one more chance at dropping another on this piece of junk. It’s a good minor uncomplicated cellphone. Right after that she started noticing the phone was dead when she went to use it. Even with the skin off, the mobile phone show would turn on in her purse and drain the battery. The battery is fine. Regardless of me identifying the lid switch as the issue, they did absolutely nothing to address the issue. It worked properly for about 5 months. . She mentioned I could send it back once more, but if the technician found absolutely nothing incorrect, I would need to have to pay to get my phone back
